Rainy Sunset at Holzwarth Historic Site

My black and white shot of one of the surviving cabins in Holzwarth Historic Site with elk antlers hanging over the porch in the Kawuneeche Valley inside Rocky Mountains National Park - Fall of 2025.
One of the cabins of the Holzwarth family. Look at the elk antlers hanging over the porch! These photos look better in black and white - Fall of 2025.

She and me came with the rain and left with the rain. The old ranch of German immigrants (early 1900s) is on the western slopes of the Kawuneeche Valley in Rocky Mountain National Park. The old dirt road crosses the expanse and the Colorado River. Need to walk because is closed to vehicles. Many vintage cabins survive. We hiked back followed by the first elks coming from the mountains for their daily reproduction ritual. And then came the moon. Mystery blue.
