Another campground in Roosevelt National Forest. We got campsite 16 for 13 days (the last site before the trailhead of Middle Saint Vrain Trail). Nice spot on the banks of Middle St. Vrain Creek (this is Middle Saint Vrain Creek canyon, a glacial valley). We got moose wandering near our tent at night twice. I know, it's the rut, the mating season. Did you know that "rut" comes from Latin meaning "to roar"? Yes, moose and elk get noisy in these times.
