Coopertown is an old place on the Tamiami Trail. It was another Indian Village until a Missourian called John Cooper created a boat tour business in 1945. It's said this was the first Everglades tour business on the Trail.

The business is still alive and offers the airboat tours accompanied by a restaurant and a giftshop. Because of its primitive beauty, Coopertown has been used as set for movies and television series - for the whole tale, check the Coopertown website
