The removal of the Old Tamiami Trail

This is a historical image because soon the Old Tamiami Trail will be no more. The old road built by James Franklin Jaudon in the 1920s is being removed to help with the water flow of the Everglades to the south. Six miles of the roadbed will be eliminated. This is an important restoration project for South Florida.
