Sunset in the Rollins Pass

Scenic photo montage of a trip up to the high mountain pass of the Colorado Rockies.

The trip began south from Winter Park - Forest Road 149 or Corona Pass Road by the Fraser River.

Up by the Rollins Pass was the small town of Corona founded in 1904 - this was the highest standard-gauge railroad station in North America at the time.

We went up in the afternoon - three vehicles - and returned after midnight.

Last photo of the montage taken while reinflating the tires in Corona Pass Road near its end at Highway 40.

This trip happened at the end of the summer of 2025. There were some spots with snow by the mountain pass.
