Hike from Peaceful Valley to Beaver Reservoir

This trail climbs to the rim of the Middle Saint Vrain Creek canyon, ending at a private lake (elevation gain from 8,500 to 9,100 feet). There is a small community facing the lake (most are trailers). Coney Flats Trailhead is up there. It goes into the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, but the access road is rough. Distance walked: ~5 miles. Forest of pines and aspens. Got some thunderstorms and rain in the way back. Humid day with temperature in the 50s.
