Boyd Lake State Park

My pickup truck at sunset in the campground of Boyd Lake State Park, Colorado.
Sunset at my camp in Boyd Lake State Park, Colorado.

Big campground by a lake. All sites electric. The typical RV park experience with too many big rigs around (is this still camping?). Not much sun cover. Hot shower needed and got a good one in this camp (not of those paid ones like in the horrible Cherry Creek). Wind, rain, and a bike ride through the area (visited Centerra and Equalizer Lake). Beautiful homes out there (too big for my taste).

Extra note: What you see in the rear window of the truck is my DIY system to allow air to flow into the vehicle keeping rain and insects away (there is a mosquito net glued on the interior side). Very handy to sleep in the truck. Cheap and simple ideas that work in real life. LOL.
