Cloudy, windy, and surrounded by corn fields (I remembered the film series Children of the Corn based on the Stephen King's short story from 1977). Quiet and lonely night at the small rest area of the I-70 near Colby in western Kansas. The flashing red lights of the giant wind turbines. A little yellow cat sitting by the vending machines after midnight craving for some heat. Heartbreaking.
