A few people in silent pray facing the small figure of the virgen. Behind, a huge mural showing major events and heroes of the history of Cuba. This catholic church was built by Cuban exiles in the 1960s for Our Lady of Charity, Cuba’s patroness. The conical design of the building represents the protective mantle of the Virgin. The original shrine in El Cobre, Cuba, was built in 1926. It's known as the National Basilica Sanctuary of the Charity del Cobre.
